About The Club

Well the last year and a half has been surreal – but light is at the end of the tunnel and we are expecting to resume normal service with both Tuesday and a Friday sessions commencing on 7th September 2021.

It goes without saying that we still need to be mindful about social distancing, wearing a mask if in any way you feel uncormfortable, and above all do not attend if you either have symptoms of C-19, have tested positive, or should be isolating.

Finally please note the new times and we will be operating for the initial few weeks a ‘Pay & Play’ approach and you will need to bring £5 for the session (exact money please).  Future memberships will have the cumulative nightly fees deducted so nobody loses out going forward

Tenbury Badminton Club meets at Tenbury High School on Tuesday and Friday evenings during school term times. Meeting between 7:15 pm and 9:15 pm in the School Sports Hall.

There are players at all standards and abilities and we are operating at close to membership capacity for the venue, but if you wish to find out more about us, please contact us on 07789 686835 or secretary@tenburybadminton.co.uk

Membership and Visitor Fees for the 2019 – 2020 Season (2021-2022 Fees yet to be decided)

Senior Junior
Annual £167 (inc £12 BE Fee) £64*
Term £57 (plus £12 BE Fee on joining) £26**
Nightly (Visitor)*** £5 £5
BE – Badminton England

*     Junior fees apply to individuals over 12 but under 18 years throughout the season.

**   Junior term rate for those members turning 18 during the 2019/2020 season — subsequent term rate for adult applies for first full term after turning 18

***  We cannot accommodate junior visitors under the age of 12 or ANY Visitors on Home Match Nights and ALL Visitors need to book in with the Secretary first by email or phone to ensure we have spaces.

To comply with BE Insurance Requirements there are a limited number of times in a year we can accept visitors, ‘paying on the night’ without either arranging separate insurance cover for them or them taking up one of the membership options if vacancies exist.

Broadly speaking that means having attended 6 times in the season on a ‘nightly’ basis it will be necessary to pay a one off fee for the year of £27, and continue to pay the nightly fee thereafter.  We will then arrange Badminton England membership for the current year on your behalf.  You would then in effect become an Associate Member of the club

Do speak to one of the organisers for more details.

Visitors will be on a first come first served basis and need to have a reasonable level of competency with the game. The club is NOT geared up to cope with beginners to the sport, we can however point you in the right direction if that is the case. Why not check out the following:

The Marches Social Badminton – A ‘pay and play’ solution for people new (or returning) to the game. Details of which can be found by clicking on the name above.

This is an initiative in conjunction with the Hereford Badminton Association and jointly run by ourselves, Wigmore, Leominster and Ludlow Badminton clubs  -Times are 7:00 – 900 pm every Wednesday during Term time at Tenbury School.
